About Us

At Wings and Things Embroidery, we remain deeply committed to serving our nation’s military with exceptional service and high-quality products. Our story began in October 1976, when Irma Speed opened the doors of Irma’s Monogramming, offering namestrips and sewing services to the Sailors and Soldiers stationed at NAS Pensacola.

In June 1987, her son Larry expanded the vision, transforming the business into Wings & Things Monogramming. Over the decades, W&T has grown from a local staple into an internationally recognized family business. Today, our patches and nametags are proudly worn by men and women in uniform at duty stations across the globe.

Now, under new leadership, Wings and Things enters an exciting new chapter—one that honors our legacy while embracing innovation and growth. We’re proud to carry forward the values that built this business: dedication, craftsmanship, and unwavering support for those who serve.

  • name strips
  • sewing services (tailoring, Velcro, ranks, and patches)
  • leather nametags (for flight suits and jackets)
  • cloth nametags
  • command patches
  • carrier qualifier patches
  • class patches
  • monogramming
  • a whole lot more!

We also have in-house digitizing service.
